Jo Walker

Jo has practised yoga for over 20 years. She spent 10 years practising Iyengar Yoga in Cambridge with her teacher, Antonia Boyes-Dring, before moving to Ely and discovering Yoga Studio Ely.

Jo trained at The Special Yoga Foundation in London with Jo Manuel, one of the UK's leading experts on the long term therapeutic benefits of Yoga for children and has additional qualifications in Yoga for children with Autism and ADHD.

Jo is also an Integral Yoga teacher, training with Rev. Padma Devi at The Special Yoga Foundation in London.

When she is not at The Yoga Studio, Jo is a primary school teacher and is currently Head of the Junior Faculty at St Faith's Prep School in Cambridge. In addition to classroom teaching, over the years, Jo has taught at a local outdoor education centre, run interactive story telling sessions at festivals and worked with children at the CRUSE Bereavement Care Summer Play scheme.

She is passionate about sharing yoga with children and runs weekly classes for the children at her school, and also does 1 to 1 work with children diagnosed with ASD.

She lives in Ely with her husband, two children and beloved cat Daisy.
